The Asiatic Bowen-Trip dragon is a real outlier in terms of evolutionary grouping – it has no direct relatives and, despite its large size and ferocious looks, is one of the most timid dragons about, easily startled and with a roar which some have said sounds slightly like a someone muttering “that’s not right, man”. A relatively recent addition to our city, the Asiatic Bowen-Trip was spotted on the corner of Newport Court, near Leicester Square station… Possibly on its way to go through the bins outside some China Town restaurants.
